Fax status: sent or delivered?
“Sent” means the fax was handed over to the fax network; “delivered” means it was transmitted completely to the receiving machine. If a fax fails, mcpfax refunds the cost to your balance.

Video transcript
Sent means handed over to the fax network. Delivered means transmitted completely to the receiving machine. Let me show you how to check the status, and what happens if something goes wrong. Right after sending, the status shows sent. Only delivered means that all pages have been transmitted. If the fax fails, you get the cost back. You simply ask for the status in the chat, for example: did the fax arrive? Claude checks and reports delivered as soon as all pages have been transmitted. If a fax failed, for example because the line was busy, Claude tells you, and the cost is refunded. If you like, Claude sends the fax again, but only after you confirm. In addition, after every fax you receive the transmission report as a PDF by email. It shows the result with date and time. And importantly: even delivered only says that the fax reached the receiving machine. Whether anyone has read it is something no fax status can show. You'll find the link to mcpfax in the description. Subscribe to the channel, and check out our video on the transmission report too.

Does “sent” mean the fax has arrived?
No. “Sent” only means the fax was handed over to the fax network. Only “delivered” means completely transmitted.
What does a failed fax cost?
Nothing: if a fax fails, the cost is refunded to your balance.
Does “delivered” show that the fax was read?
No. It proves the transmission to the receiving machine, not whether anyone read the fax.
Where can I see the status of earlier faxes?
In the chat (Claude checks your fax history), in your customer area and in the transmission report by email.
